Hello,
All of the hotels were very clean, but none were right downtown, I imagine to save $$. But all were in good, safe neighborhoods and the full breakfast each put out were great.

The tour book will list your hotels or will give you an example of hotels that have been used in prior tours. Go on line and research them. I have taken 2 tours (and booked for a 3) with go ahead and have not been disappointed with their choice of accommodations.

You may be able to find one in a pharmacy while on tour. I would recommend speaking with your Tour Director or the Concierge at your hotel for the best information.

Absolutely! You can purchase land only and arrange your own flights and transfers when you arrive at your destination. You will be responsible for getting yourself to the hotel and being on time for the first group meeting.

It is a little more expensive to do the single supplement if you don't have a roomate...I have always traveled single but with friends who also prefer rooming alone...I can't answer the matching part but your tour rep could answer this for you..I have done this trip & you will love it for the scenery which is the most beautiful in the world!!...enjoy!!!

There is more walking than the tour reports but you can request to be taken by taxi or by a special bus & this will be arranged by your guide..I have been on this tour twice & the walking in the hill towns is extensive but you do not have to do all the walks as there are places where you can sit & people watch while the group is walking..this tour is especially enjoyable!!!..the food is wonderful & the wine great!!...enjoy!!!
